Graham Eccles
Graham
first studied organ at Worksop College in Nottinghamshire. He graduated
at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, and also achieved
the ATCM and FRCO diplomas. He was assistant organist at Chester cathedral
from 1989 and as well as full participation in the city's musical
life, he gave recitals countrywide and has played with the Halle and
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic orchestras in venues as different as
the Albert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl.
He was Organist and Master of the Choristers at St Asaph cathedral from 1998 to 2004
since when he has been a freelance musician. He teaches organ at Bangor University;
he is a church organist and examiner for the Associated Board and is in great demand
as an accompanist. Graham is also one of the regular organists and conductors for the
BBC Radio 4 Daily Service.
In June 2007 Graham was appointed Music Director of the St Asaph Choral Society.
