Iwan Wyn Parry - Baritone

Iwan Wyn Parry is originally from Groeslon near Caernarfon but has lived and worked as a vet in Dolgellau for twenty years.

One of the highlights of his competitive career was winning the David Ellis Memorial Prize (the Blue Riband) at 26 years of age when the National Eisteddfod was in Mold in 1991.

Another of his personal highlights was to win the international young singer of the year at Llangollen International Eisteddfod in 1996 and winning the Urdd Eisteddfod in Newtown. He has had numerous appearances on television including singing prior to one of the International matches at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, a memorable personal experience as a president of Dolgellau Rugby Club.

He has sung in concerts and oratorio works across Wales and beyond and has travelled extensively as a soloist with choirs including Godre'r Aran, Glān Alun in Britain and abroad and has performed with the Fishguard Philharmonic Choir, Crymych, Godre'r Garth choirs, St Asaph Choral Society and Denbigh Choral Society, to name but a few.
