Iwan Wyn Parry - Baritone
Iwan Wyn Parry is originally from Groeslon near Caernarfon but has
lived and worked as a vet in Dolgellau for twenty years.
One of the highlights of his competitive career was winning the
David Ellis Memorial Prize (the Blue Riband) at 26 years of age when the
National Eisteddfod was in Mold in 1991.
Another of his personal highlights was to win the international young
singer of the year at Llangollen International Eisteddfod in 1996 and
winning the Urdd Eisteddfod in Newtown. He has had numerous appearances
on television including singing prior to one of the International matches
at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, a memorable personal experience as a
president of Dolgellau Rugby Club.
He has sung in concerts and oratorio works across Wales and beyond and has
travelled extensively as a soloist with choirs including Godre'r Aran,
Glān Alun in Britain and abroad and has performed with the Fishguard
Philharmonic Choir, Crymych, Godre'r Garth choirs, St Asaph Choral
Society and Denbigh Choral Society, to name but a few.
