Our Principal Accompanist

Tim Stuart

Tim Stuart hails from Ealing originally but has lived in North Wales all his working life.  His early musical education was at school and also at the Junior Department of Trinity College of Music, London. Besides playing the piano, he has played the organ regularly for church services since the age of 14.

He holds an LTCL piano recital diploma as well as a BMus Honours Degree from Hull University and a Master’s degree following study at Cambridge and Liverpool Universities.

Tim has worked extensively as accompanist with singers and instrumentalists in concerts, broadcasts and competitions including winners of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. He has played for many local choirs as well as the chorus of the National Eisteddfod.

For 10 years he worked as staff accompanist at Bangor University Music Department and is currently accompanist for the long-standing Mold and District Choral Society, the Tremeirchion Bach Choir and St Peter’s Singers of Heswall.
